The Adidas Adistar is one of the biggest stacked shoes we’ve ever seen. And we’re not going to lie, when we first took it out of the box, we drew a little breath. Almost like we did when we first clapped eyes on a HOKA back in the day. And with that huge wedge of new Repetitor foam and a rocker-like geometry, the Adistar is probably the most HOKA shoe Adidas has ever produced.
It sits at the opposite end of the spectrum to those carbon plate racers. This is a shoe designed for running long and running slow, in comfort. So how does it hold up? We put it to an initial 5-mile run test to find out. Hit play to see what we made of it in this Adidas Adistar first run review.
