The last two versions of the Nike Pegasus Trail 3 have been very comfortable road-to-trail options that offered a cushioned, protective ride. However, they were both fairly heavy shoes, and lacked grip when tackling wet trails.

Nike has aimed to address those concerns with the Pegasus Trail 4, which is substantially lighter than the 3 and has a redesigned outsole with a more aggressive lug pattern.
